Description
No charging station, or charging somewhere else for a while? With the Besen portable charger you charge your electric car or plug-in hybrid with a Type 2 inlet from a regular household socket (Schuko). The protection sits in the control box on the cable, so you don’t need a charging station.
Does it fit your car?
Handy if you don’t have a charging station (yet), as a backup in the boot, on holiday or at family. Your car needs a Type 2 inlet: most electric cars and plug-in hybrids in Europe have one. The number plate check shows whether this charger fits your car.
How fast does it charge?
You choose between two settings: 10A (2.3 kW) and 16A (3.7 kW). At 16A, a ten-hour night gives you about 37 kWh, roughly 200 km for an average electric car. Only use 16A on a circuit with no other heavy appliances running; if in doubt, choose 10A. The charger always starts at 10A, so to charge at 16A you switch it over each time.
Which length?
Choose from 5.5, 10, 15 or 20 metres. At home, 5.5 metres is usually enough. If your car is parked further from the socket, choose a longer cable.
