EV Plug Europe deeply values your privacy. Therefore, we only process data necessary for (improving) our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We do not provide your data for commercial purposes to third parties.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by EV Plug Europe. The effective date for these terms is 09/09/2020, with the publication of a new version nullifying all previous versions. This privacy policy describes the data collected about you by us, the purposes for which this data is used, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and the rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), what security techniques we use, and who can access the data.

E-commerce Software - Shopify
Our online store is developed with Shopify software. Personal data you provide for our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose.

Shopify is obliged under the agreement we have with them to implement appropriate security measures. These security measures include the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to improve services.

Email and Mailing Lists - MailChimp & Omnisend
We send our email newsletters with MailChimp & Omnisend. Neither Omnisend nor MailChimp will use your name and email address for their own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically through our website, you will see the ‘unsubscribe’ link. You will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is securely stored by Omnisend & MailChimp. Omnisend & MailChimp use cookies and other internet technologies to determine whether emails are opened and read. Omnisend & MailChimp reserve the right to use your data to further improve their services and, in that context, share information with third parties.

Internet Service Provider - Ziggo
We use the services of Internet Service Provider Ziggo for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Ziggo does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment Processors - Shopify
For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the platform of Shopify. Shopify processes your name, address, and residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Shopify has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Shopify reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and in that context, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above-mentioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data are also applicable to the parts of Shopify's services for which they engage third parties. Shopify does not store your data longer than permitted by the legal terms.

Reviews - Google Customer Review
We collect reviews through the platform of Google Customer Review. If you leave a review through Google Customer Review, you are required to provide a name and email address. Google Customer Review shares this information with us so we can link the review to your order. Google Customer Review also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, Google Customer Review may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with Google Customer Review. They use this data only for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Google Customer Review has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

Google Customer Review reserves the right to engage third parties for the provision of the service, for which we have given permission to Google Customer Review. All the above-mentioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data are also applicable to the parts of the service for which Google Customer Review engages third parties.

Shipping and Logistics - PostNL
When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In case PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and Accounting - e-Boekhouden.nl
For keeping our administration and accounting, we use the services of e-Boekhouden.nl. We share your name, address, and residence details and details regarding your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is sent and stored protected. E-Boekhouden.nl is obliged to secrecy and will treat your data confidentially. E-Boekhouden.nl does not use your personal data for purposes other than described above.

External Sales Channels - Marktplaats.nl
We sell (a part of) our articles through the platform of Marktplaats.nl. If you place an order through this platform, Marktplaats.nl shares your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order. We handle your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of Data Processing
General Purpose of Processing
We use your data exclusively for our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share information with us and we use this information to contact you at a later time, other than at your request, we will ask you for explicit permission. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than to fulfill accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy based on the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

In such cases, EV Plug Europe may be obliged under a legal obligation to share your data in connection with governmental fiscal or criminal investigation. In such a case, we are forced to share your data but will oppose within the possibilities that the law provides us.

Retention Periods
We keep your data as long as you are a client of us. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also perceive this as a forget request. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we need to keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced following your assignment.

Your Rights
