The Wallbox Copper Socket Business (SB) is one of Wallbox's most flexible charging stations because of its socket. The socket fits both Type 1 and Type 2 charging cables, making it possible to charge both types of cars. This makes the Copper the best choice for environments where multiple chargers will use the charging station, such as households with different types of electric cars and business or public parking lots.

Secure charging with RFID charging badges

The Wallbox Copper has an integrated RFID reader, which allows you to charge via an RFID charging card. Such a charging card gives you quick and secure access to your charging station without the hassle of PIN codes or keys. Thanks to the RFID reader, you also control which specific charging cards are accepted, allowing you to reserve the charging station for specific users. Both 1-phase and 3-phase

Whether you have a 1-phase or 3-phase electricity connection, the Copper guarantees excellent performance on both. With the Copper you therefore have a Charging station that will always charge your electric car optimally, based on the maximum charging capacity of your power network and what your electric car can receive.

Charging up to a maximum of 22 kW!

With a 3-phase connection, the Copper can charge up to 22 kW (3x32 amps) or 11 kW (3x16 amps), depending on the capacity of your electric car's onboard charger. This is because it determines how much current your battery can receive without being overcharged.

To use 3 phase 22kW, you do need to meet these two conditions:

1. The meter box must be reinforced by your grid operator to support 22kW.

2. The EV's onboard charger must be able to receive the desired charging power.

Dynamic Load Balancing

Dynamic Load Balancing is also called Power Boost by Wallbox. With Dynamic Load Balancing, the current energy consumption is measured and the Wallbox Copper only receives the residual power capacity from your network. Because the charging station only uses the residual capacity, your energy connection is never overloaded!

P1 meter or power meter?

For Dynamic Load Balancing you need a P1 or power meter. Load Balancing via P1 meter requires that you have a smart meter in your home. This is because through the P1 meter you connect the Wallbox and the smart meter, which measures the energy consumption in your household. You need a free P1 port in the smart meter for the connection, into which the data cable goes. The biggest advantage is that the P1 meter is easier to install than the power meter.

The power meter does the same thing, only this meter is a little trickier to install than a P1 meter. This is because the power meter is installed between the meter box and groups. If you load install the Wallbox by a certified electrician, he will take this task off your hands.

Dynamic Power Sharing

With Dynamic Power Sharing, the Wallbox Copper distributes the available power between multiple Charging stations. Thanks to this feature, multiple connected vehicles are optimally charged.

Schedule charging sessions

With the Wallbox Copper, you can schedule when you want your car to be charged. By scheduling charging sessions, charging based on your daily schedule becomes easier and you benefit from lower electricity rates during off-peak hours.

Eco Smart

The Eco Smart feature allows the Copper to charge your electric vehicle via solar power. With Eco-smart, you can also choose to charge on a combination of your power connection and solar energy. This way, with a Wallbox Charging station, you are always driving greener!
