Besen Portable Charger Type 1 to Schuko – 5 Settings and LCD Display

With this Besen portable charger you charge your electric car or plug-in hybrid with a Type 1 inlet from a regular household socket (Schuko). The LCD display shows how fast it charges. The protection sits in the control box on the cable, so you don’t need a charging station.

Does it fit your car?

Type 1 is mainly found on older electric cars and plug-in hybrids, such as the first Nissan Leaf and older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVs. You recognise it by five pins and a locking lever on the plug. The number plate check shows whether this charger fits your car.

How fast does it charge?

Choose from five settings: 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16A, or 1.4 to 3.7 kW. At campsites and holiday homes the power supply is often limited; choose 6 to 10A there. At home, only use 16A on a circuit with no other heavy appliances running. The charger always starts at 10A; for a different setting, you set it again each time.

Which length?

Choose from 5.5 or 10 metres. At home, 5.5 metres is usually enough.
