Mobile charger with Type 1 connection

Mobile chargers with a Type 1 plug are specially designed for vehicles with a Type 1 connection on the car side. This is especially true for older electric cars and plug-in hybrids from Asian brands.

Identifiable by:

  • 5 thick pins
  • Small flap on top of the plug (for additional locking)

The charger plugs into a wall outlet or CEE connection and charges 1-phase or 3-phase, depending on the model.

The other side of the charger connects to a normal socket (230V) or power (400V), depending on the model.
