Plug & Charge with a Fixed Charging Cable
Thanks to the fixed Type 2 charging cable, you’ll save time and effort while charging. You don’t have to take a separate charging cable out of the car every time and put it away again after charging. After parking, simply connect the fixed charging cable directly to your electric car and start charging. Since the cable is permanently attached to the charging station, you’re also less likely to lose it.
Please note: The Besen charging station only works for charging the Renault Zoe when all three phases are connected.
Charging power up to 11 kW
The Besen charging station supports 3-phase charging at 16A and has a maximum charging capacity of 11 kW. This allows you to charge your electric car efficiently and quickly, depending on the capabilities of your car and electrical system.
To use 3-phase charging at 11 kW, two conditions must be met. Your electrical panel must be capable of a 3-phase connection, and your electric car must have an onboard charger capable of handling a charging capacity of 11 kW.
High IP66 Protection
The Besen charging station is designed for safe use both indoors and outdoors. While many charging stations have IP54 certification, this charging station features a higher IP66 rating. This ensures the housing is very well protected against dust and water.
This high level of water resistance is achieved by attaching a short power cable (approximately 50 to 150 cm) to the front of the charging station and then sealing the housing completely to make it watertight.
To connect to the meter box, this short power cable is extended using a junction box and a suitable power cable. The end of this cable is connected inside the meter box. Our installation partners can, of course, assist you with this.
Real-time monitoring via LCD screen
On the integrated LCD screen, you can easily view the current charging data while charging. Among other things, you can see the current charging power and the energy consumption of your charging session. This gives you immediate insight into the charging process at all times.
Comprehensive safety features
The Besen charging station is equipped with various built-in safety features. Among other things, the charging station includes protection against overheating, DC leakage, overloading, and underloading. These safety features help protect your electrical installation, the charging station, and your electric vehicle during charging.
RFID version
The RFID version features an integrated RFID reader. This ensures that the charging station can only be used with a compatible Besen charging card. With this version, you’ll receive five Besen charging cards. This prevents others from using your charging station without permission.
Check Your Electrical Panel in Belgium
To connect the Besen Type 2 charging station, a neutral wire must be present in your meter box. This is not always the case in Belgian homes. Therefore, please check in advance whether your electrical system is compatible with the charging station. Do you have any questions about this, or would you like to know what is required for installation? Please feel free to contact our customer service.

About Besen

Basic variant
The basic variant, depending on which kW you choose, always charges at the maximum charging power your car's onboard charger can handle. There is an onboard charger in every electric car. This system determines how many kW your car battery can receive without overcharging. So if you have a Charging station that can charge 22 kW, but your car has an onboard charger that can receive a maximum of 11 kW, the Charging station never charge more than 11 kW. Because this Charging station always bases the charging power on what your car can handle, it is important that you yourself take into account the power your power connection provides. This is because if you choose too much power to charge, your connection may be overloaded and the fuses will blow. With this choice, always take into account whether there is enough power in the meter box and choose a Charging station with kW that does not exceed your power capacity.
If you need help with this, please contact our customer service team. We fully understand that it can be a tricky subject and are happy to help!
The basic variant is CE as well as TUV, FCC, CSA and RoHS certified.
