Description
Socket for all charging cables
In contrast to the Besen charging station with fixed type 2 charging cable, This variant has a socket that fits every charging cable. This makes it possible to charge both type 1 and type 2 cars, provided you have the correct charging cable at hand. So do you have two electric cars with different types? Then a charging station with socket is the best choice for you.
NB: The Besen charging station is unfortunately not suitable for the Renault Zoe.
Load capacity up to 22 kW
The Besen loading station with socket is available in the 11 kW to 22 kW, just like the app variant with socket. Although it is a 3-phase charging station, you can also connect and use the Besen Socket variant to your 1-phase connection.
NB: To use 3 phase 22kW, you must meet these two conditions:
1. The meter cupboard must be adjusted to your network operator.
2. The onboard charger of the EV must be able to receive the desired load capacity.
Higher IP protection than other charging stations
Most charging stations have an IP certification of IP54. This is enough to be used outside, but Besen likes to go that step further. They have made the housing even water poet and received an IP66 certification. They made this possible by a short power cable in advance (~ 50 to 150 cm) To connect to the charging station and then make the housing around it watertight.
To connect to the meter cupboard, this short power cable must be extended via a welding box with another power cable, the end of which is attached to the meter cupboard. However, this is not a problem for the installers of our partner Laadunie!
Real Time Monitoring on LCD screen
Via the handy LCD screen you can see the real-time data of your charging session at a glance, such as consumption and current load capacity.
Extra security
The Besen charging station is secured in different ways. For example, the charging station has integrated protection for overheating, DC leak protection, overload and underload. This protects your meter cupboard, charging station and electric car.
Basic variant
The load capacity of the basic variant depends on the maximum load capacity that your electric car can handle. The load capacity cannot be adjusted. This means that you are always sure that your electric car will be charged with optimum loading speed.
App variant
The Besen Charging Station with App gives you the option to manually adjust the load capacity via the app, to read loading sessions and to schedule loading sessions with the "delayed loading" function. Furthermore, thanks to the app, your Besen charging station is protected and cannot be used by others who do not have access to the application.
Check your meter cupboard in Belgium
To connect the Besen Type 2 charging station, must there is a neutral thread in your meter cupboard. Unfortunately, this is not always the case in Belgian households. For more information and help about this, you can always contact our customer service.

About Besen
Basic variant
The basic variant, depending on which kW you choose, always charges at the maximum charging power your car's onboard charger can handle. There is an onboard charger in every electric car. This system determines how many kW your car battery can receive without overcharging. So if you have a Charging station that can charge 22 kW, but your car has an onboard charger that can receive a maximum of 11 kW, the Charging station never charge more than 11 kW. Because this Charging station always bases the charging power on what your car can handle, it is important that you consider the power your power connection provides yourself. This is because if you choose too much power to charge, your connection may be overloaded and the fuses will blow. With this choice, always take into account whether there is enough power in the meter box and choose a Charging station with kW that does not exceed your power capacity.
If you need help with this, please contact our customer service team. We fully understand that it can be a tricky subject and are happy to help!
The basic variant is CE as well as TUV, FCC, CSA and RoHS certified.
App version (Bluetooth)
Want a secure Charging station with more features than the RFID variant? Then the app variant is your favorite choice. With the EVSEMaster app, you can easily read back charging sessions on your mobile, tablet or desktop, schedule charging sessions thanks to "delayed charging" and change the charging power in amps. The lowest charging capacity is 6 amps (1.4 kW) and the highest is 16 (11 kW) or 32 amps (7.4 kW on 1 phase or 22 kW on 3 phase). A Besen type 2 Charging station with app has the most features of all the variants. With the app, charging is secured, as is RFID, but it is also possible to read back charging sessions and export them. Furthermore, the app allows you to set what times you want to charge and change the charging power in amps conveniently and quickly. Multiple people can be logged in and use the app, just not at the same time.
The app variant is available with 1-phase 7.4 kW, 3-phase 11 kW and 3-phase 22 kW charging capacity. Furthermore, the app variant is also CE certified.
