Description

Small but powerful Charging station

The Pulsar Plus is a small but powerful Charging station. Does it Charging station nevertheless received an IK08 certification. The IK value shows that the Charging station is resistant to shock and impact up to a force of 5 joules. In plain language, this means that the Pulsar Plus does withstand a bump and thus last for years!

Fixed type 2 Charging cable at the Wallbox Pulsar Plus

The Wallbox Pulsar Plus is a Charging station including type 2 Charging cable. Perfect for if you have a type 2 electric car and want to save time when charging at home. This is because with a fixed cable, you no longer have to use your own Charging cable out of the trunk and put it away again after charging. Instead, you can plug the cable into your car right after charging and you're charging right away. The same goes for unplugging. You take out the plug and hang it on a cable holder, after which you can immediately use the car.

Up to 22 kW and for both 1-phase and 3-phase connections

Despite its small size, the Wallbox Pulsar Plus can charge up to 22 kW and be connected to both 1 phase and 3 phase. However, to use 3 phase 22kW (3x32 amps), you must meet these two conditions.

  1. The meter box must be reinforced by your grid operator to support 22 kW.

  2. The EV's onboard charger must be able to receive 22 kW of charging power.

Wallbox Load Balancing

The Pulsar Plus charging station is compatible with Load Balancing, also called by Wallbox "Power Boost. With Load Balancing, the current energy consumption is measured and the Wallbox Pulsar Plus only receives the residual power capacity from your network. Because the charging station only receives and uses the residual capacity, your power grid is never overloaded.

P1 meter or power meter?

For Dynamic Load Balancing you need a P1 or power meter. Load Balancing via P1 meter requires that you have a smart meter in your home. Via the P1 meter you connect the wallbox and the smart meter, which measures the energy consumption in your household. For the connection, you need a free P1 port in the smart meter, into which the data cable goes. The biggest advantage is that the P1 meter is easier to install than the power meter.

The power meter does the same thing, only this meter is a little trickier to install than a P1 meter. This is because the power meter is installed between the meter box and groups. If you use the Wallbox load installed by a certified electrician, he will take this task off your hands.

Dynamic Power Sharing

With Dynamic Power Sharing, the Wallbox Pulsar Plus distributes the available power between multiple charging stations. Thanks to this feature, multiple connected vehicles are optimally charged.

Schedule charging sessions

With the Wallbox Pulsar Plus you can schedule when you want your car to charge. By scheduling charging sessions, charging based on your daily schedule becomes easier and you benefit from lower electricity rates during off-peak hours.

Eco Smart

The Eco Smart feature allows the Pulsar Plus to charge your electric vehicle via solar energy. To use the Eco Smart feature, the solar panels must generate at least 6 amps (1.4 kW) of excess power per phase connection. On average, you need 12 solar panels for this.

The myWallbox app

Via wifi, 4G Bluetooth or LAN, you are always connected to your Wallbox charging station. For example, via the myWallbox mobile app, you have instant access to all charging data and can change charging settings.

More about the Wallbox Pulsar Plus - Charging station with Fixed Charging Cable - 1 & 3-phase up to 22 kW

Introducing...

About Wallbox

Wallbox is a Spanish brand and pioneer in the field of home loading for electric vehicles. The company was founded with the aim of making home loading accessible to everyone. Wallbox is known for its stylish and compact charging stations that fit seamlessly in every house. They offer advanced technologies, such as smart connectivity and energy management, to optimize your charging experience. With Wallbox you can easily and quickly charge your electric vehicle from the comfort of your home.

Dynamic Load Balancing

Dynamic Load Balancing ensures that your electric car is always optimally charged. To do this, you need a smart meter or power meter. It analyzes the current power consumption of your connection and calculates the residual capacity. It sends the residual current to the Wallbox charging station to charge your electric car. This way, the power consumption always remains within the available capacity, preventing overloading on your power connection and ensuring that the fuses will never blow!

Dynamic Power Sharing

Dynamic Power Sharing is an innovative feature that allows you to dynamically share the available power between connected vehicles at multiple charging stations. This prevents overloading the power grid and optimizes charging speeds. This is especially useful in situations where multiple vehicles are being charged simultaneously, such as in business or public parking lots. This feature comes standard with every Wallbox, making efficient charging for multiple vehicles always possible.

Always insight into charging with the myWallbox app

Thanks to the myWallbox app, you always stay connected to your Wallbox Pulsar Plus charging station wherever you are. Via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LAN, you can manage and control the charger remotely. The app further allows you to set the charging current, lock and unlock the Pulsar Plus and schedule charging sessions, such as during off-peak times.

100% green charging via the Eco Smart feature

The Eco Smart feature offers the possibility to charge your electric vehicle via solar energy with the Pulsar Plus. To use the Eco Smart feature, the solar panels must generate at least 6 amps (1.4 kW) more energy than needed per phase. So if you have three phases, the solar panels must generate at least 4.2 kW of excess energy to activate the Eco Smart function. On average, you need 8 to 10 solar panels for this. You can read more about how many solar panels you need for your electric car on the website of Zonneplan.

Have your Wallbox Pulsar Plus installed by certified experts

Installing a charging station, such as the Wallbox Pulsar Plus, is a difficult task that is even dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. For example, it is necessary to modify and sometimes even expand the distribution board (extra group + circuit breaker), connect cabling to the charging station, put the charging station in the ground and then install it so it is ready to use.

A mistake is easily made if you have no knowledge of these things. Therefore, we always recommend having your charging station installed by a certified electrician to ensure that it is installed properly and safely. Request a custom quote without obligation from Charging UnionEV Plug Europe's partner for the installation of charging stations.
